Member of Parliament (MP) for Nanton constituency, Alhaji Hardi Tuferu has donated furniture and exercise books to schools in his constituency. The schools numbering four includes, Zakuga primary school, Guno primary school, Sanvili primary and JHS and Balshei primary school. The donation the MP noted will help enhance teaching and learning as well as reduce the deficit of furniture in schools within his jurisdiction.
He added that, the burden of parents in buying exercise books especially at the beginning of every academic year will be lifted this academic year with the donation of the exercise books. As an academics, the MP also pledge to make education a priority in the Nanton district, indicating that, education is the surest way to a successful future. He also encouraged the pupils to take their studies serious and make Nanton district proud by excelling in academics.
On his part, headteacher of Balshei primary school on behalf of his collegues expressed their gratitude for the benevolence of the MP. He noted that, his support was timely and would help resolve one of the many challenges facing schools in the area. Some of the students who spoke to zaa news also expressed their excitement for the MP’s support. In all a total of 169 dual desk furniture and over 5,000 exercise books were distributed.
