MTN Ghana Foundation supports GHANASCO with 300 mathematics learning guides

MTN Ghana Foundation has presented 300 copies of core mathematics learning guides  to the management of the Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in Tamale.
The donation forms part of the Foundation focus areas of interest aside economic empowerment and health.

Six Senior High Schools across the country according to the MTN Ghana foundation  have been selected for the  support with mathematics and science learning materials.

GHANASCO in the northern region and the Salaga Senior High School in the Savanna region are among the beneficiary schools.

Speaking to Zaa News at GHANASCO, MTN Northern Region Branches Manager, Mr Kwami Aseye Akude said the foundation will continue to provide support to educational institutions and other critical areas in the country. The donation Mr Akude explained,  was part of the Foundation’s effort towards enhancing the teaching of science and mathematics in the country.

‘This donation was in response to a call from the Ghana Education Service seeking support for some senior high schools across Ghana with teaching of science and mathematics’ , Mr Akude said. He was accompanied by Mr Obed Adu-Amankwah, Area Sales Manager and Mr Mohammed Shayawu.

On her part, the  headmistress of GHANASCO, Hajia Amina Musah commended MTN Ghana Foundation for selecting the school for the support.

The books she said will complement the government effort to improving teaching mathematics in the school. “We appreciate MTN for selecting GHANASCO among a lot and the books will be put into good use,” she said.
