The Northern Regional Police Command has bemoaned the spate at which crime is increasing in the region. It says almost all criminal acts such as murder, armed robbery, fraud, rape among others have seen significant increases in 2016.

The Regional Commander ACP Patrick Adusei Sarpong who was speaking at this year’s West Africa Soldiers Social Activity (WASSA) and a sending off party for the out-going commander DCOP Ken Yeboah last Friday, noted that the spike in crime makes policing in the region complex.
He therefore called for increase collaboration among all stakeholders to arrest the alarming rate of crime in the area.

ACP Sarpong said the command for the past weeks has intensified education on the need to be discipline and law abiding as part of several measures to drastically reduce crime.
He warned that the laws will be strictly enforced without fear or favour if people failed to act responsibly after the educational drive.
