Regent of Dagbon warns trouble markers

The Regent of Dagbong,  Kampakuya Naa, Abdulai Yakubu  Andani has reiterated the need for peaceful coexistence among the people of Dagbon.  He warned trouble makers not to make any attempt to thwart government’s efforts geared at enhancing the living conditions of the people, stressing that anyone found trying to cause mayhem in Dagbon would be severely punished.

He said the current developmental projects in the Northern region need to be sustained to improve economic conditions of the people.

Speaking to Zaa news during this year’s Eid-ul Adha celebration at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, the Kampakuya Naa said he was happy that the festival was smoothly celebrated without any misunderstanding among the people especially, the various sects in Dagbon.

The Regent was happy that all sects in the Dagbon Kingdom observed the Eid-Ul Adha prayers on one day unlike previous years. The regent emphasized that Dagbon is yearns for peace and all stakeholders must join hands in ensuring that.

The Regent said the calm and peace which accompanied the celebration of the festival  emphasized the need for the people of Dagbon to strengthen good relations among themselves in the interest of development.

The Kampakuya Naa appealed to the youth in Dagbon to embrace peace, adding that peace is the root of development and failure to uphold it will result in underdevelopment.
