A woman believed to be in her 50s has been arrested with a baby at Karaga in the Norrthern Region on Monday evening authorities said
It is not clear if the baby is the two-day old baby snatched from an 80-year old woman at the precinct of the Tamale West Hospital on Saturday.
The woman according to Zaa News sources could not explain how she came by the infant in her possession. The woman was first sent to the Chief of Karaga palace before the police was called in to interrogate the woman further.
The Karaga district police command our sources said have taken custody of the baby and the woman. The baby is said to be receiving treatment from nurses at the Karaga district hospital after several days in captivity.
