Two NPP Executives Issue President Addo An Ultimatum; Choose Tamale Mayor or Party Members

Two NPP executives from Tamale Central and Tamale South have issued an ultimatum to President, Mr. Nana Akufo-Addo to immediately fire the Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr. Iddrisu Musah Superior or risk losing votes in 2020.

The visibly angry executives with red arm bands told the media that they have had enough of the disrespect shown party elders, the regional minister and his deputy by the MCE.

They accused the mayor of arrogance and diverting resources meant to help executives of the party to promote government developmental projects.

According to them,  the mayor is rather focusing on resourcing constituency executives of Mion where he is nursing ambitions to contest the party’s primaries when nominations open.

Mr Yussif Danjumah, Tamale south constituency communication officer flanked by constituency chairmen chastised the mayor for his snobbish attitude and vowed to use all possible means to ensure that he is sacked in order not to jeopardize the party’s electoral fortunes in the presidential and general elections.

They further accused the mayor of surrounding himself with his friends and cronies and awarding contracts meant for party executives.

When Zaa News contacted Mr Musah he declined to comment except to say, “I do not discuss internal party matters on radio and on public platforms.”
