NDC ends vetting of the new constituencies in the northern region

The northern regional executives of the ruling national democratic congress have vetting all parliamentary aspirants for the newly created constituencies in the northern region.
Parliamentary aspirants from the five constituencies were grilled on wide range of issues including loyalty and commitment to the NDC party.
Zaa News sources at the party say the would be preceded primaries scheduled on Monday  20th August in Tamale in spite it being declared as a statutory public to mark the Eid-Ul-Fitr is expected to be witness by some  National Executive Council members of the NDC.
The five newly created constituencies include Sagnarigu, Zabzugu, Daboya, Yunyoo and Bunkpurugu.
Among those vying for Sagnarigu constituency are the northern regional coordinator of the National Youth Employment Proramme Alhaji Mohammed Amin Adam affectionately called Abio, northern regional women organizer of NDC and coordinator for Ghana School Feeding Programme northern region, Madam Olivia Hawa Yahaya, ace Journalist Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini.
Others are the Deputy Women and Children’s Affairs Minister, Hajia Hawawu Gariba Boaya and Richard Yakubu Andani, Mohammed Abdul-Salam.
Three aspirants were disqualified by the vetting committee which was supervised by the national General of the NDC, Mr. Aseidu Nketia said as far as party structures are concern, there is no reason why anybody would be beefed abut the process and wish the disqualified aspirants better luck next time.
But one of the disqualified aspirant of the Sagnarigu constituency Mohammed Abdul-Salam is threatening to put a court injunction to restrained the party from organising the primaries scheduled this weekend ]]>
