NDC opens nominations for New constituencies

The National Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has opened nominations for the newly created constituencies in the country.
This is in spite of several legal wrangling to stop the Electoral Commission from creating the new constituencies by some opposition elements, citing procedural issues.
Information gathered by Zaa News indicates that, nominations and filing of Sagnarigu North and East constituency primaries in northern region will be held on 23 to 30 by the regional and constituency executives this month.
Zaa News sources at the party say the National Executive Council of the NDC will vet aspirants on August 3 which will be preceded by elections of parliamentary candidates on the 5 of August 2012.  The Sagnarigu North and East constituencies was carved out of the Tamale North constituency. meanwhile three aspirants have picked their nomination forms at about 8:30am on Monday 23 July 2012 at the constituency office at Sagnarigu. They include, Northern regional coordinator of National Youth Employment Programme, Adam Mohammed Amin, Northern regional Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme Madam Olivia Yahaya and a parliamentary reporter Iddrisu Adam Kpalsi to contest the Sagnarigu East constituency.
