The Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tamale, Hanan Abdul-Rahaman Gundadow has officially cut sod for the reconstruction of the Tamale Central Market.
The ceremony which was taking place at the forecourt of the market ended abruptly when news broke out that Radio Justice, a private radio station based in Tamale was under attack. The market according to the mayor will include three story buildings will have about 40 stores each.
. The project according to the assembly is expected to be completed in six months by an Accra-based contractor called Jorsung construction limited. The total cost of the project is estimated at one million ninety-three thousand, nine hundred Ghana cedis, seventy-nine pesewas (1,093,900.79)
