Youth commends President Mahama for Dr Jebuni’s appointment to head SADA

A youth group of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) base in Tamale, Bi NeeTi youth, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Dr Charles Danyagri Jebuni as Acting Chief Executive of Savanna Accelerated Development Authority (SADA).

Dr Jebuni appointment according to the youth is a bold step taking by the president to give practical essence aimed at ending social exclusion in the deprived part of Ghana.  

 The youth say efforts to end poverty in savanna ecological zone cannot be achieved with mere rhetoric but rather well and careful thought policies and projects such as SADA.

 The Bi Nee Ti youth say they will not sit aloof for SADA to collapse due to ineptitude and deep-seated incompetence on the part people at the helm of affairs.

A statement issued in Tamale and signed by the group Secretary Abukari Abdul-Jelil said the youth are in full support of the confidence reposed on Dr Jebuni to resuscitate SADA.

The statement said with Dr Jebuni manning SADA, it will be able to claw its way back to safer grounds for the betterment of the people in north.

It adds that, if SADA fails it will be an indictment on President Mahama and the people of north as a whole. The statement described president new appointment as timely and bold decision to salvage the only hope to alleviate poverty in Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions.

 The statement expressed optimism that Dr Jebuni will give meaningful and practical contribution to ensure that the purpose for which SADA was established realized.  

The youth believes Dr Charles Jebuni his rich experience from banking and research field. Dr Jebuni until his appointment was the Chief Technical Advisor of SADA, board member of National Investment bank, visiting fellow at the World Bank Ghana, Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER )- University of Ghana.
