A Tamale man arrested last week on suspicion of being the mastermind behind the kidnapping of a member of Tiger PI has been granted a court enquiry bill by the Tamale Circuit Court presided over by  judge Twumasi Appiah.

Suspect Adamu Asumah, 35, was mobbed at the court by his family and friends after they were told he has been granted bail.

The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, said the suspect was granted court enquiry bail with two sureties on condition that one of the surety should be a public officer earning a salary of not less than GH₵ 1,000.00.

According to ASP Tetteh, authorities will continue to maintain silence about the location of Ishmael Hussein of Tiger PI, victim of the kidnapping scheme because there is a need to protect his identity but was quick to add that whenever he is needed in court to give his version of events, they will make him available.

Asumah, has been charged with kidnapping and assault and will reappear in court on 2nd November. Asumah made his first court appearance last week when he was nabbed by police, but his plea was not taken and he was remanded into police custody to enable authorities conduct further investigations into the matter.
