BabyThe Member of Parliament for Nanton and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industy, Ibrahim Mohammed Mutala has pledged two thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢2,000)  for a seven  day old baby who has been referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for surgery.

The Nanton MP’s pledge follows appeals made by the mother of the baby, Amadu Hassana of Moshee Zongo in the Tamale Metropolis to philanthropists and individuals to help save the child’s life.

The Nanton legislator who lost his mother last Sunday said he was touched by the plight of the baby and expressed the hope that other individuals will contribute their widow’s mite to help save the infant’s life.

The child has been diagnosed by doctors in the Tamale Teaching Hospital with a medical condition know as ‘hydrocephalus, Meningomyelocele with paraplegia’, which will cost six thousand Ghana cedis (Gh¢ 6,000) to treat.

A referral and feedback letter from doctors indicated that the child has a big head, mass at lumber spine, and could not move its lower limbs and pavlovs anus.

The doctors referred the baby’s mother to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for Iv ceftriaxone. Individuals willing to help save the child’s life can do so through mobile money number 0248828933.
