Excitement took over Zabzugu Constituency yesterday Wednesday, September 26, 2024 as National Chairman of National Democratic Congress, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and Northern Regional Executives embark on a strategic campaign tour.
Their first stop was Kpukpaligu community, where they joined forces with Hon. Alhassan Umar aka Abako, the parliamentary candidate, constituency executives led by constituency Chairman Alidu Bawah, Hon Umar Abdul-Wahab, and Hon. Issifu Alidu Laa-Bandow, both former District Chief Executives of the area, and party supporters to rally support for John Mahama and Jane’s NDC Victory, Retail Campaign in Northern Region’s 2024 presidential bid.
Addressing NDC supporters/sympathisers at Kpukpaligu, Hon. Asiedu Nketiah emphasized unity as key to H.E John Dramani Mahama’s victory. “A vote for Mahama and parliamentary candidates promises development, unity, and progress. Mahama’s presidency will build on his past achievements, particularly addressing Eastern Corridor needs.” Hon. Aseidu stated.
He assured that under the new NDC government, there would be no hiding place for thieves, and urged supporters to take any money offered by opponents for their votes but vote against them.
Asiedu Nketiah in addressing them also also exposed the NPP strategies to maintain the seat during his visit to Kukpaligu community, urging the people to resist any form of intimidation and cheating come December 7, 2024.
“Work towards NDC’s victory in the 2024 election and spread the word to vote for John Mahama and your NDC parliamentary candidate.” He encouraged the youth.
Asiedu Nketiah, a seasoned politician and Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, has been a strong advocate for unity and development. His message resonated with the crowd as he concluded by advising supporters to vote for Hon. Alhassan Umar aka Abako, who understands their needs better than the NPP parliamentary candidate.
The campaign tour is expected to boost support for NDC in the region, with Asiedu Nketiah’s leadership playing a crucial role in rallying party supporters.
