Dagbang Development Fund received GHC 4,691,407.8 towards Gbewaa palace construction-Commitee Chair reveals
The Dagbang Development Fund committee, a subcommittee of the Dagbang Development Committee has commended sons and daughters, both home and abroad, development partners and professional bodies for their show of love and interest in Dagbang development.
The fund committee chaired by the celebrated banker, Nabapri Pishegu Lana, Alhassan Andani acknowledged the contributions both cash and in kind so far towards the construction of the new Gbewaa palace in Yendi.
Pishegu Lana who gave a breakdown of the contributions received at the emergency meeting of the Dagbang Traditional Council in Yendi stated that the eighteen new houses constructed for the affected families at the Gbewaa Palace reconstruction site for relocation in Yendi.
The committee Nabapri Pishegu Lana given the breakdown of money received so far told members of the Dagbang traditional council that an amount of GHC1,454, 709 was received from various palaces who were given receipt books to collect households’ contributions.
Institutional contributions he stated amounted to GHC 2,156,917. Professional groups such as lawyers, medical doctors, engineers among others contributions Nabapri Pishegu Lana announced, amounted to GHC 462,007.
