Christians all over the country have been entreated to play their key role towards a peaceful transition. “No Ghanaian needs to lose his or her life because someone has lost or won an election. Christians should continue to pray and preach the message of peace and togetherness to ensure everlasting peace. The closer the individual is to God the less violent he or she will be, and the less the propensity to commit atrocities.”
This was made known at the official inauguration of Reinhard Bonnke Gospel Crusade by Daniel Kolenda of the Christ for All Nations (CFAN) in Tamale. The inauguration took place at a time when Ghanaians have just fulfilled a constitutional duty of electing 275 parliamentarians and a new president for the next leg of the fourth Republic.
CFAN was formed in 1974 to reach out to the people of Africa. The preaching of the word began to produce a harvest of souls and the healing of different kinds of diseases. The ministry increased the number of campaigns per year in Africa and also began to branch out to Asia by holding one campaign per year in that part of the world.
Reinhard Bonnke emphasizes the importance of passing the baton to the next generation for the harvest to continue. In recent years he has been standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, his successor serving as the president and Chief Executive Officer of Christ for all Nations.
The Reinhard Bonnke Gospel Crusade with Daniel Kolanda is divinely conceived to bring salvation, healing, deliverance, fertility, spiritual peace and progress to the Tamale metropolis scheduled for 26th-to-29th January 2017.
It is organized with church denominations and all Christian bodies in the Metropolis which include the Ghana Pentecostal and Christian Council (GPCC), National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC), the Christian Council, Council of Independent Churches, Women’s Aglow International and the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International.

The crusade will reduce the level of evil and crime, revive churches, growth of churches, unite the Body of Christ as well as transform communities. The campaign will mobilize over 50,000 Christian workers from all participating churches to serve in the twenty committees and is looking forward to host more than 400,000 participants.
In his speech, the Executive Director for Africa- CFAN Rev. John Kwesi Darku said Christians are expected to do their part by coming together as one to show commitment towards spreading the gospel to promote peace and unity. He also used the opportunity to acknowledge the level of commitment, tolerance and understanding exhibited by political parties, the Electoral Commission and the electorate to ensure that the country went through peaceful elections. The programme was attended by chiefs and elders from various churches in Tamale as well as other church members.
