Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Mr. Kojo Bonsu, and Ernest Kobea contributed to the party’s democratic tradition- John Mahama
The 2024 presidential primaries were declared yesterday, and former president John Dramani Mahama, who is the candidate, used his official Facebook page to express his inner gratitude to God for the overwhelming vote of confidence reposed in him.
He thanked the delegates of the party for their warm welcome, active engagement, and participation.
He also thanked Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and Mr. Kojo Bonsu for their contest and Mr. Ernest Kobea for his support.
“I also want to thank Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and Mr. Kojo Bonsu for their contest. My appreciation also goes to Mr. Ernest Kobea, who pulled out to support me in this contest. Their taking part in this primary has cemented our party’s enviable record as the most democratic political tradition in the country.” He stated.
He thanked his campaign and operational teams for keeping their focus and delivering a clean campaign, donors and financiers for their support, the media for propagating their message, and all religious and traditional leaders for their prayers.
He has, however, used the opportunity to formally invite the party’s teeming number of rank and file members and Ghanaians in general to join him at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale as part of his acceptance speech.
