The Dagbon Development Committee has received 1000 bags of Djata cement from the CEO of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama. The businessman made the pledge to support the reconstruction of the Gbewaa palace during the sod cutting ceremony a few months ago.
A truck from Djata Cement delivered the cement this morning at the forecourt of the Kuga Naa palace in Yendi.
Chairman of the Dagbon Development Committee, Naa Yab Kuga Naa received the donation and thanked Ibrahim Mahama for fulfilling his pledge.
Naa Yab Kuga Naa encouraged others to emulate Ibrahim Mahama’s gesture.
Registrar of the Dagbon Traditional Council, Alhassan Abdul Fatawu, said the council was grateful to the businessman and hopes others who made similar pledges during the sod cutting will honor their pledges.
