The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Zabzugu constituency has congratulated Lawyer Khalid Abdul-Rauf on his appointment as the National Vice Chairman of the party.
The Zabzugu Constituency Executives and elders of the NDC said the appointiment of Lawyer Rauf, a son of Zabzugu, is seen as a relief for the area and provides a strong foundation for the party’s organization and growth. They believe it would also serve as a conduit for more employment opportunities to qualified natives of Zabzugu when the NDC forms the next government.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Constituency Executives in Zabzugu, barely a day after the NDC released the various appointments made by the National Executives of the party.
“The Zabzugu Constituency, led by Chairman Alidu Bawa and his executives, is thrilled for your achievement. You’ve become a proud role model for the Zabzugu constituency, and your success is a source of pride for everyone” the statement added.
It commended the national leadership of the party for believing in their illustrious son by giving him the opportunity to serve the party at the highest level.
“We are very optimistic that his effort, experience, and support base will help bring the great NDC to power come 2024,” the statement concluded.
Other stalwarts of the NDC from the Northern Region have also been appointed to various key positions at the National Level. They included Hon. Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, as Member of the National Council of Elders, Alhaji Umar Farouk as National Executive Member, Lawyer Mohammed Atta Nantogmah also as Deputy Director, Special Duties and Godfred Wumbei Apasinaaba, NEC Appointment.
H.E Ambassador Moses Mabengb. a former National Vice Chairman also elevated to the National Council of Elder, the most Senior comrade: Alhaji Hudu Yahaya retained his position as a member of the National Council of Elders and Dr. Rashid Tamko Computer.
