The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, arrived in Tamale on Sunday to support the parliamentary campaign launch of Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Tamale South Constituency.
Tamale South Constituency, the largest in the Northern Region, plays a crucial role in the region’s political landscape, boasting the highest number of votes. Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who has consistently secured the highest number of votes in the Northern Region, is widely regarded as one of the most influential and respected Members of Parliament. His reputation extends across party lines, earning him admiration from both sides of the political spectrum.
At the campaign launch, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is expected to express her gratitude to the people of Tamale South for their unwavering support and loyalty to the NDC. She will acknowledge their steadfastness in rallying behind Hon. Iddrisu and the other NDC Members of Parliament in the Tamale metropolis.
