In a display of journalistic excellence, Zaa Multimedia dominated the 2024 Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Northern Region Awards, held in Tamale. The media powerhouse secured three prestigious awards, reinforcing its reputation for delivering high-quality news coverage and content across Northern Ghana.
Zaa TV was crowned Best TV Station in the Northern Region, a recognition of its unwavering commitment to delivering informative, engaging, and relevant content to its audience. This accolade highlights the network’s dedication to setting and maintaining high standards in news and entertainment broadcasting.
Zaa Mutimedia’s Yakubu Abdul Wahab Yumzaa, walked away with two notable awards. He was recognized as the Best Reporter in Disability Reporting and the Best Reporter in Tourism, Arts, and Culture. These awards underscore his versatility and dedication to shedding light on crucial issues affecting communities, particularly in the areas of disability inclusion and the promotion of local culture.
Yakubu Abdul Wahab expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Executive Officer, management, and staff of Zaa Multimedia for their support throughout his journey. Speaking to Zaaradio.com, Wahab said, “I am overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. Being recognized as the Disability Reporter of the Year for the second time in two years is incredibly humbling. Winning the Tourism and Culture Reporter of the Year award is equally an honor, and I thank the GJA for this prestigious recognition.”
