The Regent of Dagbon and Acting President of the Dagbon Traditional Council, on behalf of the chiefs and people Dagbon Kingdom, has congratulated the newly-appointed Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr.Abdul Nashiru Issahaku.
The Kampakuya-Naa said Dr. Nashiru has made the people of Dagbon proud. This was contained in a statement issued at the Gbewaa palace in Yendi and signed by the Kampakuya-Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai.
The Kampakuya-Naa also commended President John Dramani Mahama for appointing one of the illustrious sons of Dagbon to such a high position.
Dr. Nashiru’s appointment, the regent observed, was due to his intellectual capabilities, hard work, commitment to duty, desire to serve his country and his track record at the World Bank and the African Development Bank.
The Kampakuya-Naa called on the youth of Dagbon to emulate Dr Nashiru’s good work and exemplary leadership qualities that earned him Ghana’s Central Bank’s governorship position.
