Ghana’s Most Beautiful Winner advises parents to pay serious attention towards education

Ghanas-Most-Beautiful[1]

The winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) 2017 beauty pageant, Ms. Zeinab Abdul Mumin has called on parents to take the education of their children seriously.

According to her, education is the key to the development and growth of every child. She was speaking at an event in the Savelugu municipality.

Parents, she noted, should be every child’s backbone, supporting them to achieve their dreams in future, adding that education has many benefits and makes a positive impact on a child’s life, saying an educated person is an asset for any country.

“In today’s world, human capital is considered the best national resource. On one hand, he or she can explore better opportunities for himself, and on the other hand, the entire nation would get to benefit from his/her works,” she said.

Ms. Mumin continued:”Education enables young men and women to develop all the latent powers and faculties of their nature and to enjoy a good life. A sound educational system encourages freshness of approach; it should bring out the best in the student, not stifle his mind.”

Miss Mumin further noted that the aim of education is not to develop one single virtue but to produce healthy normal human beings, who understand the meaning of life and what it demands from them.

She said from childhood to youth, students must be constantly reminded by educationists and psychologists that the fundamental law of life is co-operation, not self-promotion or domination or conflict, saying, “If the youth are intellectually and morally brought up on co-operation, most of our troubles would end and life would be much healthier, richer and nobler than ever before.”
