The region currently has only 3 active cases as at Tuesday 20,2021 according to Ghana health service are at the verge of being recovered in about a week time.

Expired vaccine romour
Touching on media reports about expired vaccine being used to vaccinate the people in the north, Dr Braimah described the reportage as unfortunate and misconception of the information provided by a director at health directorate.
Earlier this month, romours were round that over 2000 AstraZeneca vaccine had expired at the time vaccination was still ongoing in the region. This brought about anxiety among the populist who already have reservations about the vaccine.
But Dr Braimah dismissed the romour saying; even the figures bundled around about the vaccine was total false because the region got about 100,000 for health workers and only about 10 of it were found to be close to the expiring date at the time the romour started spreading.
’’If you got vaccine close to 100,000 and somebody said somewhere that 2000 which is just about 10 bottles and each immunizing about 10 people were found have expiring date close, not reached’’ Dr Braimah said.
He explained that the first consignment the region received was for health workers but some identifiable groups had to be added during the exercise. He allays all fears that gripped the public about the vaccine and call for calm as the region expects next consignment.
