The Ashfoam Company Limited, producers of various forms of mattrasses and furniture has presented 150 bags of sugar, 50 bags of rice and 30 cartons of cooking oil to Muslims in the Tamale North constituency in the northern region.
The items are to support Muslims to complete this year’s fasting. The company said the items worth over fifty thousand Ghana cedis were their widow’s mite towards the Muslim fast. The items are to be shared among the various mosques and households within the constituency.
The Marketing and Communications Manager at the Ashfoam head office, Joe Ampem-Darko Antwi said the company has targeted two other constituencies, Tamale South and Central for similar support.
Mr Antwi entreated other companies to emulate Ashfoam’s kind gesture towards Muslims.
The member of parliament for Tamale North, Alhassan Dahamani, who received the items on behalf of the constituency, thanked Ashfoam for their support and expressed the hope that the company’s relationships with Muslims will be strengthened.
