Be Kindhearted in your line of duty – Chief admonishes Health Professionals

The chief of Pishigu, Alhassan Andani has admonished health professionals to be empathetic and compassionate in their line of duty.

He says the nursing and other health professions are essential that needs personnel who are humanitarian in nature to deliver quality healthcare.

Naa Alhassan Andani who is also the Managing Director of the Stanbic Bank was speaking at the Fourth Academic Performance Awards at the Nurses’ and Midwives’  Training College Tamale. 

In all 40 students comprising of 15 males and 25 females won awards for distinguishing themselves in different categories.

Speaking on the theme “bridging the gap between training and employability of graduate health trainees through entrepreneurship: the role of stakeholders”, Naa Andani advises nurses and trainee nurses to adopt the right attitude required of any professional to be able to succeed in their chosen endeavors.

The Pishigu chief further urges the trainee nurses to look beyond the hospital and clinic Walls and take advantage of the entrepreneurial opportunities abound in the health sector to achieve greatness in society.

On his part, the Principal of the Nurses’ and Midwives’ Training College Tamale, Abdulai Abdul Malik indicates the institution cherishes the academic excellence award because it promotes academic competition. He urged the students to take their studies seriously.
