Zoomlion Ghana limited has commenced disinfection of all colleges of education and some selected universities in the Northern region.
The second phase of tertiary institutions will cover Damongo and Pong-Tamale agricultural and vetinery colleges.
The exercise is a partnership with government and Zoomlion Ghana limited.
The disinfection is expected create conducive environment for their students and administrative work of the institutions.
Speaking to the media at the Bagabaga College of Education in Tamale, Northern Regional Manager of Zoomlion Mr Dawuni Peter his team was committed in the fight against COVID-19.
” When we enter classroom, we disinfect the inner-out and if it’s story building we disinfect top throug down using chlorine” Mr Peter explained.
Vice principal of Bagabaga College of Tamale, Mr Emmanuel Alhassan lauded the continues effort of Zoomlion and government to ensure healthy of educational institutions in the wake of the pandemic.
The college Mr Alhassan said was well prepapered for any medical issue that will arise as a result of the coronavirus pandemic even though the college has not recorded any case.
He told journalists during the exercise that, the arrangement put in place by the college can contain any medical issue.
The college Mr Alhassan said has a sick bay and three medical doctors who provide a routine medical services in addition to a health facility the college is affiliated to within Sagnarigu Municipality.
The last time Zoomlion was here, they did a good job with the assistance with our team, Mr Alhassan stated.
The disinfection has become a quarterly exercise after several request by heads of educational institutions during the first nationwide fumigation and disinfestation.
