Do not engage in any form of violence in support of any political party-MP for Yagaba/Kubori to NPP youth
The Minister for Youth and Sports who doubles as Member of Parliament for Yagaba/Kubori Constituency, Mustapha Ussif has warned that 2024 elections should not be a’ Do or Die’ affair. He said it should rather be about protecting the future and development of the country.
‘’Those who think 2024 election is a ‘do or die affair’, it is going to be protecting the future of our country’’, he said.
He admonished the youth not to engage in any form of violence in support of any political party. The youth minister who was speaking at the Annual Delegates Conference of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Nalerigu in the North East region stressed the need for the party to give government its total support to succeed with its development agenda.
The NPP on October 1, began its regional delegates conference across all 16 regions in preparation to elect executives for 2024 general elections. According to him, every party member must play a role to support the government implement policies in the interest of the entire citizenry.
He has however called on the party grassroots to support the government and its appointees to succeed. On his part, the Constituency Chairman of the party, Fuseini Nurudeen cautioned the youth against all forms of violence saying election is not about insults or intolerance but rather a democratic exercise. He however expressed optimism that the party will win power come 2024.
