Kumbungu constituency: Inusah Fuseini takes back his pickup after donating it to support party’s campaign
The former Member of parliament for Tamale Central constituency, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has taken back his Toyota Hilux Pickup donated to support the campaign of the National Democratic Congress, NDC in the Kumbungu constituency. Prior to the 2020 general elections, Inusah Fuseini just like other NDC MPs had adopted some constituencies in the Northern Region including Kumbungu in a bid to support them win the seats for NDC.
In view of that agenda, the former NDC legislature donated some cash, party paraphernalia, T-shirts and vehicles to his adopted constituencies to aid them in their campaigns. The Kumbungu constituency parliamentary candidate now MP for the area received a branded Toyota Hilux Pickup, 1000 branded T-shirts, 1000 posters of both the parliamentary candidate and presidential candidate and other paraphernalia.
However, the branded Pickup was returned to Inusah Fuseini yesterday Monday July 27, 2021 by party officials of the constituency. According to them, the return of the car was in fulfilment on the terms of the donation made by the former MP.
A statement from the office of the member of Parliament for Kumbungu on behalf of the party in Kumbungu constituency and on the MP’s own behalf expressed gratitude to lawyer Inusah Fuseini for his kind gesture.
Portions of the statement reads “Earlier today, the Toyota hillux pick-up donated to the Kumbungu constiutuency by the Hon. Inusah Fuseini was returned, in fulfilment of the terms of the donation. This donation together with other logistics were aimed at helping in our Mobilization and Reorganization agenda in the run-up to the 2020 general elections. I must emphasize that the gesture indeed, contributed massively in realizing the victory of H.E John Dramani Mahama and myself in the Kumbungu constituency”.
“On behalf of the entire executive board, party elders and membership of the great NDC in my beloved Kumbungu constituency and on my own behalf, I wish to immensely thank my Senior brother and Comrade, Hon. Lawyer Inusah Fuseini for his generous support extended to us going into the 2020 general elections”.
The Pickup was received on behalf of Mr. Inusah by Mr. Mohammed Saaka.
