MCE for Savelugu reiterates intentions to involve stakeholders to impact positive change in the area
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Savelugu, Hajia Ayishetu Seidu has reiterated her intention to involve stakeholders in the municipality to impact positive change in the area.
Hajia Seidu made these remarks when she addressed civil society organisations and advocacy groups at “The 3D Forum” organized by Back2Reality and sponsored by the GDCA in the Savelugu municipality.
The forum offered participants the platform to voice out their concerns, suggestions and criticisms geared towards identifying key challenges in the municipality and ways to fix them.
Reacting to a barrage of comments, opinions and concerns raised by participants, the MCE said education, water, agriculture, health and sanitation are her major priority areas and that she will do anything possible within her capacity to improve the sectors.
Hajia Seidu indicated that her doors are always open for constructive criticisms, partnership or collaborations in the development of the municipality. She also used the opportunity to challenge parents to take the education of their wards seriously.
According to her, education is the key to the development of every country. She said it is a very important medium for succeeding in life and is also the primary source of knowledge.
She indicated that not only does education make a person more knowledgeable, aware and informed but also makes them more confident about themselves.
Education further prepares an individual to meet the challenges of life more efficiently, hence the need for parents to invest in the education of their children.
She also urged residents to pay their income tax for the needed development of the municipality.
