Zabzugu MP escapes death after his car somersaulted 3 times

 

The MP – member of parliament – for the Zabzugu constituency, Mr Alhassan Umar,  escaped death in a spectacular accident Friday morning.

Mr. Umar was said to be travelling to his constituency to attend a funeral when the rear tyre of  his Toyota 4 runner with registration number NR365-17 bursted.

The accident occurred between Tugu and Tugu-Yapala along the Tamale-Yendi road in the Tamale South constituency at about 8:45am.

Narrating the incident to Zaa News, the Zabzugu MP said the car somersaulted three times.

The Zabzugu legislator who was traveling with the former District Chief Executive for Zabzugu, Mr. Issifu Laabandoo, fractured his left hand while Mr Labandoo sustained minor injuries to his right shoulder. The driver of the vehicle is in critical but stable condition according to doctors at the TTH where all three are receiving treatment.

Mr Umar told Zaa News he thanks Allah for their survival and urged his constituents and Ghanaians to remain calm.
