The Chief of Lamashegu in the Tamale metropolis, Ziblim Abdulai has threatened to descend on anyone who would disturb the peace of the region during the December elections.
According to him, the peace of the country and the region should be the number one priority of every citizen, hence the need for all and sundry to embrace peace for development. He was speaking at the official opening of One-Heart Medical Center (OHMC) in Tamale.
One Heart Medical Center is a family oriented and state of the art center of excellence founded by Dr. A. Nasser Adjei and located in the heart of Tamale. The clinic is a 15 bed capacity health facility, fully equipped with modern medical equipment.
The clinic was founded by a Ghanaian born medical Doctor based in the United States of America (USA) as a philanthropic gesture to the people of Tamale where he was born.
Dr. Nasser is a board certified interventional cardiologist, an internal medicine specialist who is also board certified in nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular diseases.
One-Heart Medical Center’s agenda is to provide excellent medical services for the people of Tamale and beyond by using highly advanced medical technology.
Addressing participants on the occasion, the Lamashegu Naa stated that the facility will go a long way to help the people of Tamale. He further urged the people to contribute their quota towards the progress of the center by improving upon the sanitation situation around the facility.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of OHMC, Dr. Adjei stated that the center would provide excellent standards in the healthcare of patients, irrespective of their social, economic and political status in society.
All patients, Dr. Nasser said, will frontally be given best curative solutions in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human illnesses, done with utmost professionalism by top-notch physicians and other healthcare professions in the best facilities and amenities that harness highest quality of healthcare, convenience and community support.
The facility, he said, has ultra sound capabilities to take care of the antenatal and post-natal care of patients, especially women.
On his part, the northern regional director of health Dr. Jacob Mahama revealed that maternal health is still a challenge in the region and that much has been done to improve upon the quality of services given to pregnant women as well as lactating women.
Lamashegu, he said, is one of the crowded suburbs of Tamale, with no hospital and that the setting up of the center will go a long way to help residents.
Speaking on behalf of the Northern Regional Minister, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sagnarigu, Mr. Alhassan Mohammed Sorigudoo commended Dr. Adjei and his team for the laudable initiative and appealed to the youth to eschew activities that can lead to violence during the December 7 polls.
