Northern Regional Executives of the Ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have issued stern warning to parliamentary aspirants of certain constituencies to be mindful of their activities.
The executives say they have observed with grave concern about their activities and described them as clear breach of the party’s constitution.
The executives have therefore called for immediate stop and that failure to heed to the directives may form basis for disqualification to contest the parliamentary primaries in 2016 elections.
A statement issued in Tamale and signed by the party regional secretary Halid Abdul Rauf advises constituency executives and Metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives to stay away from so-called aspirants for the interest of party unity.
The statement also describes a news conference by NDC chairman and secretary for Nalerigu-Gambaga constituency demanding the removal of East Mamprusi DCE as insubordination and sheer disrespect towards the presidency and the party.
The statement therefore wants the two party executives to withdraw their demands and apologize to avoid disciplinary action against them.
