The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has organized an educational tour for some selected senior high schools in Tamale Metropolis.
The participated schools were Tamale senior high, Ghana senior high,Vittin senior high, Anbarriya senior high, tamale girls senior high (pagnaa), Saint Charles senior high , kalpohini senior high, northern school of business, and business senior high.
They were sent to Accra and they had the opportunity to visit parliament, Asomdwe Park, OSU Castle, University of Ghana and Television Africa.
He took them around parliament after his temporal absence from office until he assumed his duties. He advised the students to take their education very seriously in order to escape poverty because education is the surest way to succeed in life.
When touring the campus of University of Ghana Alhaji Inusah asked them how many of them would like to be in the university next year, and almost all of the students answered in the affirmative.
They were also sent to the Asomdwe Park, where the late president Atta Mills was laid to rest. The MP also advised the students to emulate the intellectual footprints of the late president Mills.
He said former president Mills led a peaceful life and encouraged the students to adopt the spirit of peace and discipline in their lives.
Alhaji Inusah said he was once like anyone of them but with his hard work and determination, he achieved his aim. Dr.Don Arthur, close pal of former president Mills at the occasion also advised them to learn hard and be respectful to their parents and teachers at all times.
