Vivo energy Ghana Limited, Shell License Oil Company, has introduced a motorcycle oil in the northern region specially designed for motor bikes. The product was designed after scientists around the world conducted research on the lubricant. The product launched in Tamale, according to Shell was strategic as the northern sector carries a large chunk of motorbike users in the country.
Shell says it is not just selling its products to customers but it is also concerned about their safety and provided free 15 crash helmets to some deserving motor riders in the metropolis.
The company also designed road safety guidelines for motor riders in Tamale to ensure their safety. Motorists were encouraged to adhere to basic road safety regulations.
Shell Country sales and marketing manager, John Doe Samlafo at the launch said the company is expanding its stations nationwide to meet its customers’ demands.
Standard, according to Mr. Samlafo, was key in Shell’s business, adding that, the requirements and expectations of customers are also a major driver of the company’s research and decision.
The Tamale Metropolitan Coordinating Director, Philibert k. Kuupoe on behalf of the Tamale mayor commended Shell for bringing its product to a metropolis, where motorbikes are a major means of transport for residents.
