Unilever Ghana re-luanches iconic toilet soap

A leading consumer goods company, Unilever Ghana Limited, has re-launched its iconic toilet soap, Geisha Soap. The re-launch Geisha Soap has additional honey to make it harder and also to ensure that it lasts longer, according to company officials.

The new Geisha Soap comes in five variants namely: Green – Aloe Vera and Honey, Beige contains Shea Butter and Honey, White – Coconut Milk and Honey, Pink – Rose and Honey and Yellow – Lemon and Honey.

At a ceremony to launch the new Geisha Soap in Accra, the Category Manager for Personal Care at Unilever, Ms. Esther Fobri emphasized the benefits that families would derive from the use of the new Geisha Soap.

“Our longer lasting promise builds on our affordability by giving more to Ghanaian mothers for the limited resources.” The savings that come from the longer lasting quality will mean that scarce resources of families become available for other pressing needs, Ms. Fobri assured Ghanaians.

On her part, the deputy minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ms. Dela Sowah, who joined the Brand Building Director of Unilever Ghana, Ms. Nana Yaa Kissi and Ms. Fobri to unveil the new Geisha Soap, commended Unilever Ghana Limited for its innovative approach to meeting the basic needs of Ghanaians. “I have no doubt that the new Geisha will meet the needs of Ghanaian consumers and also stimulate more of such innovations from Unilever in the coming years,” she added.
