Acting IGP visits Tamale over murder of female officer

The Acting Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, Mr James Oppong Boanuh has arrived in the Northern Regional capital, Tamale with a high powered entourage.
His visit is expected to boost the morale of officers after the shooting death of a female officer, Agatha Nana Nabin.

She was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Kumbungu road while on duty with two other officers.

This is his first official visit outside Accra since he took over from the former IGP, Mr. David Asante Apeatu who was relieved of his post by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

He is to interact with officers of the Northern Regional Command as part of his transformational leadership tour.

His delegation includes, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Mr. George Alex Mensa, Mr Edward Tabiriz, Mr. George Tweneboah, Mr. Michael Adjei. Mohammed Abdul Hanan and Bawah Abdul Jalil, an Instructor at the National Police Training School, Tesano-Accra.
