‘Big’ 6 action was childish enthusiasm-NR Security liaison officer

Northern Regional Security liaison Officer, Lieutenant Retire colonel A. R Salifu has described the locking up of NBSSI offices by a youth group loyal to the governing NPP as childish enthusiasm and that they need to be talk to.

The retired army officer said his attention was drawn to the unfortunate incident after they had left the premises of Regional Coordinating Council (RCC). He has therefore advised the group not   to engage in such an action any further in the region.

The security liaison officer told Zaa News that the youth action was not proper and should not be repeated in any part in the region.

He expressed the hope that with his engagement with leadership of the group, they will soften their stands.

’’I was here when a lady worker at RCC came and told me whether I was aware of some youth have come to disorganized the activities of NBSSI down stairs. I was taken aback because I didn’t know anything about it and nobody came to tell anything.it was after I saw people moving out and I asked   what happen and they narrated to me. I want to know who the people were and they mentioned the Big 6. I called the leadership to come to my office and I will find out their reasons for their actions.

During my conversations with them, they mentioned that they intend going to Sagnarigu municipality for similar action but I persuaded them not to do that but rather come for thorough discussion and am not able to resolve it, then I know where to go for my bosses to take up the matter.  Am waiting for them to come and this matter will be discus and permanent solution had to be find before it escalate to the areas in the region’’.

Askedif he was aware of the existence of the Big 6, the security liaison officer answered in affirmative and went further show the location of their office  within the Tamale metropolis.
