Paramount chief of Tolon Traditional area, Major retired Alhaji Sulemana Abubakar has advised politicians to conduct their campaigns with decorum devoid of insults and name calling in this year’s elections.
The Tolon chief reminded politicians that, as chiefs, they are behind every aspirant because they are barred by Ghana’s constitution from actively participating in active partisan politics and that it behooves on them to conduct themselves well before, during and after their primaries and the general elections.
He also reminded aspirants in the forthcoming primaries that, under no circumstances should they be divided either on family lines or friendship in Dagbon because of politics.
