Every Ghanaian will benefit from Ghana’s oil, GNPC Foundation Director

The Executive Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, GNPC foundation, Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah has assured that all Ghanaians will benefit from Ghana’s oil. According to him, proceeds from the oil industry of Ghana belongs to Ghanaians and therefore everybody will get their share of it.

He said the benefits might not come in cash but will come in a form of projects across the country which will serve the interest and purpose of Ghanaians. He noted that, it’s a policy of the company to give to society and they need to ensure that, no one is left behind in receiving support from the foundation.

Dr. Dominic Kwesi made this statement at a commissioning and handing over ceremony of a six unit classroom block for Tamale Senior High School. The Six unit classroom block built by GNPC foundation has been furnished with furniture and white boards as well as office furniture for teachers. The school was however tasked to take proper care of the structure and put it into the rightful use.

Headmaster of Tamale Senior High School, Reverend Edward Azigi, expressed the school’s gratitude to the foundation and assured that, the classrooms will be properly utilized. He noted that, the intervention by GNPC foundation was timely and will ease the classroom deficit faced by the school.

On her part, the Sagnarigu Municipal Education Director, Madam Samata Mahama who received the structure on behalf of the school, pledged that her outfit will make sure that the school use the structure for its intended purpose. She also on behalf of the Ghana Education service and management of Tamasco thanked GNPC foundation for the kind gesture.

The foundation will this year commission about 400 boreholes across the country, of which Northern region has 132.
