Aseidu Nketia fun club , a Tamale-based NDC youth group has donated items to the Nyohini Children’s home in Tamale. The items include diapers, tissue papers, detergents, liquid soap, among others.
The club also weeded and cleaned around the premises of the orphanage. Speaking to Zaa news Spokesperson for the club, Sadick Abdul Mujeeb says the donation is part of their corperate social responsibility to society.
He says as a political youth club, it will not relent in its efforts to contribute towards the needs of the less privillaged in society, assuring the orphanage of their support. Mr Mujeed asks society not to look down upon orphans, or consider them as bad omen adding that all must be done to keep their dignity.
He called on all stakeholders, NGOs, and individuals to respond swiftly and in a continues manner to the needs of the less privileged children in society.
Head of Nyohini children’s home expressed appreciation to the Aseidu Nketia Fun club for the donation and pledged to put them to good use. She said the home faces challenges of encroachment and defecation and appealed for fencing of the premises to prevent such acts.
