The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern region has inaugurated its campaign team to manage campaign activities towards securing victory in the December 7, polls.
The 32 member Committee is chaired by the northern regional chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila.
Swearing in the team in Tamale on behalf of former president Mahama, former High Commissioner to UK, Ambassador Victor Smith reiterated President John Mahama pledge to restore indigenous investment in the banking sector if he wins the 2020 elections.
According to him, it is painful to hear officials of government justifying the huge investment spent on the banking sector cleanup.
He also noted that, the NDC will send all contractors with valid contracts who have been sitting at home for 4 years without being paid for legitimate work done due to politics back to site.
JDM, he said would also immediately make arrangements to pay monies owed contractors by the Nana Addo administration as well refund all locked up funds to affected customers during the collapse of some banks.
The former United Kigdom ambassador indicated that, the 2020 elections is a rescue mission by NDC to save Ghanaians from the Akufo Addo led government. He pledged that their campaign will be devoid of insults and attacks on people’s personalities.
Delivering the acceptance speech on behalf of the team, former Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minister under late Atta Mills’s administration, Lawyer Mohammed Mumuni noted that the Northern region campaign team would ensure that the party secure victory in the region.
The 4 times former member for Kumbungu constituency also called on the party members to play a role in selling the message of the NDC at their individual level.
Lawyer Mumuni pledged the team’s preparedness to win back all seats lost by the NDC during the 2016 election.

Hon Mohammed Mumuni in an acceptance speech on behalf of the campaign team promised to work harder to deliver victory for NDC in the region and described the team as the best with the requisite knowledge and experience for the task.
