The residents of Nakundugu a farming community in the karaga District of the northern region are passionately appealing to relevant authorities to provide them with potable drinking water.
According to them, water scarcity in the area is a worrying phenomenon as they suffer on daily basis to get water. Women of the community trek several kilometers before they can get water safe for drinking.
The situation, residents say is affecting their economic activities since they spend much of their time in search of water. School children they say also either go to school late or absent from school due to lack of water.
They are however appealing to the Karaga District Assembly and benevolent organizations to intervene to salvage their situation.
