Social distancing protocol is our biggest challenge – TaMA
Coordinating Director for Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Abdul-Rahaman Baba Ahmed has stated that the social distance protocol is a major challenge facing residents in the Metropolis, especially in the markets.
”Social distancing protocol is the biggest challenge facing the Metropolis for now. But we are still having a discussion to ensure that we get the people to observe those protocols”.
According to him, the arrangement of the markets make it difficult to establish social distance protocol directive.
He made this known to Zaa News in an interview when WUZDA Ghana presented some items to the Assembly to aid in the fight against COVID-19.
The items include hand sanitizers, liquid soap and some nose masks. He said the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has put in efforts to fight against the virus.
He mentioned radio discussions, press releases and the enforcement of the directive on public gathering as some of the measures put in place to help fight the pandemic in the metropolis.
Communication’s Director for WUZDA, Shaibu Awudu speaking to Zaa news said the items are to support the Assembly fight Covid-19.
