Stanbic Bank Ghana donates GH¢50,000 to Ya Na Educational Fund & reconstruction of Namo Naa palace

Stanbic Bank Ghana has presented a cheque of GH₵10, 000 Ghanaa cedis to the Ya Naa Educational Fund.
The bank also allocated GH₵ 40,000 cedis for the reconstruction of chief drummers  of Dagbon palace (Namo Naa)  in Yendi. The amount the bank said will be used to procured building materials for the project.
Branch Manager for Tamale, Alhaji Mubarak Abdallah announced after presenting the cheque to Nda Ya Na Abukari II at the Gbewaa palace in Yendi on Thursday.
Alhaji Mubarak assured the overlord of the bank’s continue support to his developmental initiatives.

The bank he further explained will supervise the reconstruction of Namo Naa’s palace.

The overlord commended the bank for their keen interest in education in the Dagbon kingdom and the country as a whole. His majesty told officials of stanbic that his commitment towards education dates back to Savelugu when he was the chief. 

According to him, vast land was designated for educational purposes in Savelugu traditional area during his regime but there was not develop for the purpose.

Ya Naa said he has allocated land to the University for Development Studies for a satellite campus in line with his educational drive in Dagbon.

The king reminded the youth in Dagbon that education was the bedrock of everything and they must be serious about their education.

He prayed for Allah’s bountiful mercies for the Managing Director-Pishigu Lana Alhassan Andani and the entire management of the bank. ” Is your commitment to education that made you to support me but not that you is the most endowed bank in Ghana” the overlord told the officials.
