Details emerging from the Northern Regional Police Command indicate that the dead body found on Monday morning at Sheishegu was a primary six dropout.

According to authorities, the deceased, Abdulai Hamid, 20, from Kukuo, refused to heed his parents’s counseling to concentrate on schooling but rather opted to be a driver-mate.

The police investigators quoted the deceased’s parents as saying that the late Hamid refused to go work as a driver mate and instead followed bad company.

ASP Yussif Tanko, the Northern Regional Police Command Public relations Officer, told Zaa News that authorities are making efforts to apprehend those behind the lynching of the boy.

According to the ASP Tanko, the boy was murdered without any justification and urged the public to assist the police with information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.
