The Presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has called for unity among party members to enable the party win this year’s general elections.
Mr. Ivor Greenstreet, who won the CPP’s presidential candidature two weeks ago, is in the northern region to thank delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
He also met with the disability community in the region. Addressing executives from all the 26 constituencies in the region, Mr. Greenstreet urged all party faithful to put their past differences behind them and forge ahead towards winning the 2016 elections.
The National Chairman of the CPP, Professor Edmond Dele said the party will not allow any traitor to destroy the party. Professor Dele emphasized the need for unity.
He also charged party members to work to maintain the Kumbungu seat, which is the only seat for the party and also win more seats come November 7, 2016.
The CPP presidential candidate and his entourage later joined Muslims to observe Friday prayers at the Afa Ajura’s Mosque and Asir at the Tamale central mosque. The party later held rally at Kumbungu.
