Four more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of the overlord of Bimbilla bringing the total arrest to 17.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Alhaji Ibn Abass and the district police commander have also invited by the top hierarchy of the Ghana police service in Accra to assist investigation
More people are still being pursued by the security agencies in the region to be arrested. The Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) is therefore urging residents in the Nanumba traditional area to remain calm while security agencies take step to address the renew conflict there.
At press briefing after REGSEC meeting meeting on the matter on Monday at the northern regional coordinating council, the chairman of the REGSEC who doubles as the northern regional minister, Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru Limuna described the incident as shocking and shameful and that all measures have been put in place to restore law and order…..more soon
