Cultural youth group donates medical equipment to TTH

The Tamale Youth Home Cultural Group, an affiliate of the National Youth Authority has donated dental and surgical equipment to the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) worth over fifty two thousand Ghana cedis ( 52,000.00).
The items donated include 10 electric beds, 10 mattresses, 1 Dental chair, 7 Wheel chair, 3 Drip stands, 1 trolley, 1 incubator and 11 orthopedic aid. 
The group also donated 38 computers and its accessories and Music and dance learning materials to 11 basic schools in the Tamale metropolis.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Director of the Tamale youth cultural home, Abdul-Rahman Takoro said the equipment was a request they made to their partners in Denmark. 
Mr. Takoro said the cultural group at the home has people whose interests are not only to entertain, but also to ensure that the health of the people they entertain are  taken proper care by health authorities. 
The group according to the Mr. Takoro has also procured text books of various subjects for some selected senior schools in the Tamale metropolis to enhance teaching and learning.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr Ken Sagoe thanked the Cultural group for their kind gesture to assist the hospital provide quality health care to the people in the region.
He assured that the equipment would be used for its intended purpose and appealed to other individuals and benevolent organizations to emulate the Tamale youth home cultural group's example.
