Education is the bedrock of development for every country-Limuna tells pupils

The Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Alhaji Mohammed- Muniru Limuna has encouraged basic pupils in the northern region to take their studies seriously and aim high for a bright future. He said this during the launch of the schools’ 25 years anniversary celebration of ABE HALPERIN School, a private based school in Tamale.

The school was established in 1989 and is currently one of the famous schools in the metropolis. Addressing students on the ground, Alhaji Muniru said, the private sector needs to be encouraged and supported in order to help government in the administration of the country’s economy.

He indicated that, education is the bed rock of development for every country and therefore the need to invest in children’s education and emphasized that education is the only key that can eradicate poverty in the country.

 Alhaji Muniru made it clear that the only way to develop the country is by respecting time and advised students to respect time in their daily activities to help contribute to the development of the country in the future.

The District Director of education in the Sagnarigu District, Hajia Mase Sulemana advised students to always keep their environment clean to prevent the spread of diseases such as Cholera, Malaria and other related diseases.

She also told them to take discipline as part of their daily lives in order to be good future leaders. The Managing Director of the school, Madam Evelyn said the school was established in August 1989 with only 3 children of school going age at the NORRIP Village with support from the NORRIP project.

They school she said currently has a population of about 993 students. According to her, the school has produced excellent and good students during the years and is one of the famous schools in the Tamale Metropolis.
