Members of Organized labour have asked government to immediately come out with prudent measures to address economic hardship Ghanaians workers are currently facing.
The labour union says the current economic condition is unbearable and workers in Ghana deserve better salary and working conditions.
The organized labour is therefore demanding immediate action by government to halt the depreciation of the cedi and rising cost of living.

The workers called for a halt to lazy and facile reflex of simply increasing the prices of products as the cedi depreciates due to the mismanagement of the economy and poor fiscal policies.
Even though there was low turnout in some regions including the northern region, it did not deter the aggrieved workers from exercising their constitutional rights.
The demonstrators converged at the Tamale Jubilee park and matched through some principal streets of Tamale and later conveyed at the northern regional coordinating council where they presented their petition to the deputy northern regional minister Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini.
Among the inscriptions on the workers placards some of which read, “Build up Ghana”;“Government, should halt the depreciation of the cedi” ;“pension is our future”; “Revolution has just begun”; “Mr President we are tired, pay us our salary arrears” among others.
The northern regional secretary of Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana, Ali Anafo presented the organized labour eight key demands petition to government at the precinct of the northern regional coordinating council.
The Deputy Northern Regional Minister Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini assured the organized labour of government continue efforts lessened their suffering.
